INTRODUCING RADAR SESSIONS
Introducing Radar Sessions, a curated studio sessions to focus on intimate experiences, connection through art, and supporting emerging artists. Radar Sessions is an extension of our digital output channel Radar - our platform for collaboration, connection, and artist spotlights.
Episode 0 - Spencer Zachary - ‘Don’t Go’ - Song produced by André Louro - Film produced by Longerdays Productions
Using the unique skills of our talented in-house artists, we collaborated to produce the first of Radar Sessions: a night of music featuring musicians Spencer Zachary, Andre Louroo, and Bigliardi. The session was an intimate night of performance and sound, hosted in a living-room style set-up which fostered a deep connection to the music and to one another. The purpose was in honour of Spencer Zachary’s song release ‘Don’t Go’, produced by André Louro. The sound for the performance was mixed by Spencer himself and designed alongside Lucas Mirovski and Arthur Nedel.
Léopold and Pierre (Longerdays Productions) directed and produced the evening performance into an ambient film as our Episode 0 of Radar Sessions. Eleanor (Founder & Set Designer) led the lounge set design, curating an eclectic mix of signature second-hand furniture, lamps and plants; Beatriz (Brand Owner & Clothing Designer), with her expert sewing hand, crafted a rich backdrop of velvet curtains; Richard (Graphic Designer & Artist) focused on an ambient lighting and sound set-up, Chiara (Production Assistant & Photographer), worked on the overall production and event set-up. The result was a space and mood of intimate connection.
There were acoustic performances from all three musicians, featuring a violin and guitar duo performance, followed by an open jam. It was collaborative, heartfelt, and low-key. We seated our guests around the performers, so that as well as watching the musicians, we observed others’ reactions to the music. You see a face with eyes closed to the music or a friend singing to the chorus. Overall, this interwoven experience enhances the creative performance. It ensures we are all part of the music and performance, feeling it as one, and connecting to it on a collective level.
