ROSE

FASHION SCIENTIST

Based in Lisbon and born in Paris, Rose is a fashion scientist specialising in the second life of forgotten goods. After a marketing degree at Business school, she decided to put into practice the opposite of what she studied and started Something’s Cooking.

Rose draws her creative drive from the challenge of making fashion more sustainable, and in turn sustainable fashion more affordable. As a multidisciplinary artist, she designs, sews and builds capsule collections made of clothes, jewellery and bags in order to tell stories.

SOMETHING’S COOKING

Something’s cooking is a creative laboratory that focuses on up-cycling fabrics, old clothes and all kinds of objects. In giving a second life to trash, the goal is to offer a new way of consuming fashion, reevaluating our conception of garments and reconnecting people with the real value of things.

How do we value creativity? How do we value an hour of work? By sharing the time and costs of production, the consumer is involved in the process and has to determine their price. The intention is to make sustainable fashion accessible to all, so that even with a small budget anyone can afford a piece.
