VISUAL ARTIST

Kiva Durkan is a photographer, filmmaker, and interdisciplinary creative based on the east coast of Ireland and in Lisbon, Portugal. With a background in Ethnographic and Documentary Filmmaking from University College London, her work encompasses documentary storytelling, creative strategy, content creation, marketing and portraiture. Her films, exploring social and environmental issues, have been screened at festivals internationally.

Drawing inspiration from the rugged mountains, delicate wildflower meadows and serene coastlines of Wicklow, Kiva's empathetic storytelling approach reflects her deep connection to nature and community. Collaborating with individuals, sustainable brands, and independent businesses, she strives to create meaningful content that resonates with a conscience.

Passionate about the intersection of art, sustainability, and mental well-being, Kiva works to broaden her creative practice through interdisciplinary approaches. Through her work, she continues to inspire positive change and foster connections between people and the environment.

Kiva's dedication to her craft has earned her accolades, including an Honorary Mention at the 16th Annual Julia Margaret Cameron Award and the Young Creative Award at the Deauville Green Awards in 2022.
